MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Just before the holidays, the newest set of officers were inducted into the board last 30 March 2026, online (through Zoom) with Dr. Raul Sunico as the inducting officer. The new officers are as follows:

  • 2nd VICE-PRESIDENT: Carolyn Cheng
  • SECRETARY: April Merced-Misa
  • ASSISTANT SECRETARY: Fariah Joanna Lu-Avena
  • TREASURER: Elizabeth Chua
  • ASSISTANT TREASURER: Irma Su
  • PRO: Jonathan Gutierrez
  • ASSISTANT PRO: Ena Maria Aldecoa

The oath-taking ceremony reminded all members of the board about their roles and the continued mission of uplifting the community of piano teachers in the Philippines. In fact, the first board meeting, which was held on the same day, each member shared wonderful ideas for outreach, regional expansion, and planning for events of the PTGPFI for the next few months.
