Greetings!
2012 is a very important year for the PTGP as it marks our 40th anniversary. In behalf of the executive board, I would like to congratulate you for having contributed to the longevity of our organization. In recognition of this milestone, we have prepared a lot of activities to celebrate 40 years of upholding our mission to raise teaching and performance standards to further the musical development and pianistic growth of our students.
We have kicked off this year’s celebrations with the following events:
1. Piano Festival 2012
2. The Best of the PTGP Festival 2012 in Paco Park Presents
3. Mall Recital Tours
We will continue with the rest of the year with appearances on various TV and Cable shows, a Seminar Series spread throughout the year and, a solo concert of US-based PTGP Alumnus, Ross Salvosa. The centerpiece of the PTGP Ruby Jubilee is a grand concert in partnership with LYRIC Pianos and CCP. This auspicious moment, a first in Philippine music history, will take place on 18 November at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo of CCP where 40 (10 grand and 30 upright)pianos will be set-up on stage and as many as 80 pianists will play together.
In this regard, I would like to appeal for your continuous generous support (through sponsorships) and assistance (as members of committees) in the many events that we have prepared for the year. Further details will be discussed in our general assembly on June 10, Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Greenhills Music Studio. Elections of the board for 2012-2014 will follow after the assembly. Your attendance at this meeting is highly appreciated.
Thank you very much. I look forward to seeing you on June 10.
Happy 40 years!
Yours sincerely,
ANTHONY Y. SAY
