General Assembly
Dear PTGPFI Members,
We would like to meet all members (old and new alike) to a general meeting on Sunday 15 March 2015 at 1pm at the Glee Club Room of St. Paul University Manila 680 Pedro Gil St. Malate, Manila.
Future projects and activities will be taken up in the assembly.
This will also give us a chance to get to know our new members and all the other members who we have not seen for some time.
We hope to see you on Sunday!

1. Final round repertoire – all three (3) etudes
2. Signs will be posted at the gates of St. Paul University and hall/room entrance to guide you.
3. Be at your designated hall/room by 8:00am (A1,A3, B) and 10:30am (A2, C) to draw lots.
4. No rehearsal.
5. Visit PTGPFI website regularly for important announcements.
6. All winners are required to perform during the Winners Concert and Awards Ceremony

US-based Concert Artist and Professor to Perform in Homecoming Concert
Georgia-based concert artist and music professor Dr. Jerico Vasquez will perform in a solo piano recital on December 10, 2014, at 7PM at the Ayala Museum lobby. He will be performing the following program: Schumann’s Arabeske op. 18 and Fantasie in C major op. 17, five preludes from Debussy’s Preludes Book 1, and Scriabin’s Sonata in F# major op. 30.
The concert will be Dr. Vasquez’s first major solo recital in Metro Manila. His last Philippine performance was in his native Naic, Cavite, when he was still a teenager.
Dr. Vasquez will also give a piano master class on December 11, 2014 from 1-5PM at the Sky Villas at One Balete Drive,New Manila Quezon City.
Acclaimed by The Santa Barbara News Press as a pianist of “intelligent ardor and exceptionally clear and bright technique,” Dr. Jerico Vasquez has concertized both as soloist and chamber musician in concert venues throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
He was a winner of the University of California, Santa Barbara Concerto Competition and has been a recipient of career grants from institutions such as the Pillsbury Foundation. He was also a recipient of numerous awards, including Ojai Festival’s prestigious Charlotte and Alvin Bronstein Award, Capitol Record’s Nat King Cole Memorial Award, and the University of California Regents Scholarship.
Dr. Vasquez received both his Masters of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees at the University of Houston where he was under the tutelage of esteemed American virtuosos Ruth Tomfohrde, Abbey Simon and Horacio Gutierréz.
Apart from maintaining an active performing career, he is also a practicing pedagogue with active memberships in the Music Teachers National Association and the Georgia Music Teachers Association, among others. His students have been prize winners in many national and international competitions, including but not limited to: HMTA/HYAC Concerto Competition, the Blinn College Young Pianist Competition, and the Chopin International Youth Competition.
This concert is a joint project of the Ayala Museum, the Piano Teachers’ Guild of the Philippines Foundation, Inc., MCO Foundation, and Lyric Piano & Organ Corp.
Concert tickets will be sold at the lobby for Php800 and Php500. Meanwhile discounted tickets for students and senior citizens are available at Php250.
