PTGPFI OFFICERS, BOARD MEMBERS INDUCTED

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Just before the holidays, the newest set of officers were inducted into the board last 30 March 2026, online (through Zoom) with Dr. Raul Sunico as the inducting officer. The new officers are as follows:

2nd VICE-PRESIDENT: Carolyn Cheng
SECRETARY: April Merced-Misa
ASSISTANT SECRETARY: Fariah Joanna Lu-Avena

ASSISTANT TREASURER: Irma Su
PRO: Jonathan Gutierrez
ASSISTANT PRO: Ena Maria Aldecoa

The oath-taking ceremony reminded all members of the board about their roles and the continued mission of uplifting the community of piano teachers in the Philippines. In fact, the first board meeting, which was held on the same day, each member shared wonderful ideas for outreach, regional expansion, and planning for events of the PTGPFI for the next few months.

PTGPFI 2017 Sonatina – Sonata Competition Guidelines and Application Form

The Piano Teachers’ Guild of the Philippines Foundation Inc., invites you to join its Sonatina-Sonata Competition.

This competition aims to revisit and re-familiarize the sonatinas and sonatas of the great composers including the performance and pedagogical practice as well. It also aims to explore these types of works from other equally great composers including those written by Filipino composers.
